Hello again! I just wanted to take a few minutes to highlight some cool projects by some amazing creators.
1) FORGOTTEN HYMNS #1-2 by Andrew Guilde
Noir genre infused with Lovecraftian mythos? Sign me up!
Combining elements of noir crime with Lovecraft mystery, monsters, and madness Forgotten Hymns is a character driven horror comic that scares its readers into acknowledging that real world monsters do exist.
Looks fantastic! Can't wait!

2) DIGITOPIA #1-3 by Farhan Qureshi
Digitopia is a pre-apocalyptic action adventure story of a father and daughter trying to survive in a civilization that is imploding, where everyone from the army to society to bounty hunters are out to get them.
It's a thrilling story that tackles some hard-hitting issues. Check it out!

If you’re excited for MANDRILL, P.I., then GORILLA MY DREAMS is the perfect comic for you.
If this description doesn’t get you excited, then I don’t know what will:
Best described as: HELLBOY vs. DOOM PATROL in the streets of GOTHAM CITY, GORILLA MY DREAMS is a comic book series set in Struggle-Town, where the streets are protected by KNOCKAROUND-GUY, a talking gorilla who fancies himself a superhero.
The art is fantastic! The story is incredible! The issue picks up from a huge cliffhanger, but luckily you can grab the back issues as Add-Ons in the campaign. It’s such a cool book, and I was hooked from the start.

But as excited as I am about GORILLA MY DREAMS, I’m even more excited to tell you about its creator.
One of the cool things about working on Kickstarter campaigns is meeting fellow creators, and having recently met Big Tim Stiles, it was like looking in a mirror (well, some kind of magical mirror that sees all the way to Australia and shows you someone much cooler than yourself!).
Are we both giant bald men? Check. Are we both super into comics? Check. Do we both write about anthropomorphic primates in a noir setting? Check! Do we both have such love for Ninja Turtles that we’ve created an amazing podcast? Well, I wish.
Tim has also created The Turtle-Boy Podcast, which you can check out on Spotify, where he and his mates work their way through the Turtles’ back issues and movies as they drink alcohol. It’s the podcast I wish I’d thought of--it’s so much fun. Check it out on Spotify or here on anchor.fm!
Now, let’s get deeper into GORILLA MY DREAMS! It is:
- 28-pages
- Full of anthropomorphic noir awesomeness
- Illustrated by the amazing Ahmed Raafat
- A story about KNOCKAROUND-GUY waking up missing chunks of his memory in the convent of the Sisterhood of Perpetual Ewes, surrounded by sheep-people nuns with tales of a mysterious ghost. How did he get there? Who is the enigmatic ghost? And what does it mean to KNOCKAROUND-GUY's search for secrets from his past?

Yet again, you all are amazing.
We just passed the next "funding" stretch goal, which means the book will double in size to 48 pages -- including the 24-page issue #1 and a ton of backup goodies.
This also means it's time to announce the next stretch goal:

How to Update Your Pledge with Add-Ons
I've also had some backers who are interested in upgrading their pledges with Add-Ons, but don't know how to do so. Fear not, Youtube to the rescue!
For those unsure of how to configure Add-Ons, this video might help! It took me a while to figure it out myself, so hopefully this helps you if you want to add cool stuff like Chris’ prose work.

Next Backer Stretch Goal Announced! Color me excited!

We've surpassed 75 backers (THANK YOU!!!), so without further ado, the next "backer" stretch goal:
That's right! A super fun mini coloring book PDF using Carlos Trigo's amazing inks! Now you can color MANDRILL, P.I.'s adventures to be as noiry or cartoony (or both!) as you want!
And to top it off, we're less than $80 from our next "funding" Stretch goal! So close--and when we pass that, the physical issue doubles in size with a ton of backup goodies.
